Seminar on Environmental Health, Sustainability, and Gender in Nepal

On June 26, 2025, Resources Himalaya Foundation (RHF) hosted an interactive seminar with the University of Virginia Team on the theme “Environmental Health, Sustainability, and Gender in Nepal.”
The session featured insightful presentations by:
– Prof. Dr. Dinesh Raj Bhuju – Environmental Sustainability in Nepal: Challenges and Opportunities
– Prof. Dr. Rejina Maskey – Air Pollution and Its Impact in Nepal
– Dr. Nani Maiya Sujakhu – Gender Roles and Women’s Empowerment in Environmental Sustainability
– Prof. Dr. Rajesh Balkrishnan – Air Pollution and Public Health in Nepal
The seminar aimed to explore the interconnected challenges and opportunities related to environmental sustainability, public health, and gender equity within the Nepali context. It brought together prominent academics, researchers, and students to share knowledge and foster collaborative dialogue.The program encouraged vibrant discussion and identified future avenues for collaborative research and exchange between RHF and UVA.
