Our project, aimed at addressing human-wildlife conflict through comprehensive training and awareness programs, has successfully concluded. The project focused on three high-conflict regions: the Chitwan-Parsa, Annapurna-Gandaki, and Banke-Bardiya clusters. Each session covered essential topics such as understanding wildlife behavior, conflict mitigation strategies, government compensation policies, and sustainable livelihood practices.
The training included interactive group exercises, pre- and post-evaluation tests, and real-life case studies to deepen participant understanding. In total, 208 sessions were delivered, reaching 10,122 participants and surpassing our target of 10,000. Over 90% of participants in many sessions were women, highlighting strong female engagement, along with diverse representation across ethnic and age groups.
