Farewell and Welcome Ceremony of EGH Coordinators and Certificate Distribution Program
Resources Himalaya Foundation (RHF) along with Environmental Graduates in the Himalaya (EGH) organized a farewell and welcome program to mark the end of the tenure of the former EGH Coordinator Ms. Ganga Thapa and to extend a warm welcome to the Ms. Suvekchhya Tuladhar, the new EGH Coordinator. Certificates were also distributed to the editors of Headline Himalaya. The program was held on August 30, 2023 on the premises of Research Himalaya Foundation in Sanepa. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of RHF’s chairperson Dr. Dinesh Raj Bhuju, board member of RHF Dr. Rejina Maskey, guest speaker Roshani Maharjan Ma’am, general secretary Mr. Prakash Sharma, research coordinator Dr. Gaurishankar Bhandari, EGH coordinators, RHF research fellows, RHF interns and other colleagues.
The first half of the program was initiated and moderated by Ms. Ganga Poudel, who gave a brief introduction of RHF and EGH. Ms. Archana Singh, the program manager then delivered the welcome note, which was proceeded by the distribution of certificates by Dr. Gaurishankar Bhandari to the four Headline Himalaya editors. Our guest speaker, Roshni Manandhar Ma’am, former HoD of Amrit Science campus and a colleague of Dr. Pralad Yonzon shared her cherished memories with Dr. Pralad Yonzon and her insights on work ethics.
This was followed by the formal handover of the position to the new EGH Coordinator by the former EGH coordinator. Khadas and a token of love were given to the EGH Coordinators as a gesture of appreciation. Dr. Gaurishankar Bhandari reflected upon his enriching experiences working with Ms. Ganga and extended his best wished to Ms. Suvekchhya. Dr. Rejina Maskey also shared her vision for EGH and extended her best wishes. The program ended with concluding remarks by Dr. Bhuju, leaving the attendees inspired and grateful for the experiences shared. Present among the attendees were Mr. Prakash Sharma, the General Secretary of RHF, Dr. Kamal Adhikari, Dr. Dipesh Pyakurel, Dr. Sagar Dahal, Ms. Sheila Ghimire and other invitees.
