For the 67th series of PYCF, we had invited Ms Uma Sigdel from IUCN- Nepal. The programme started with the welcome note and brief introduction of the speaker by Mr Saroj Basnet, EGH coordinator. Ms Sigdel had her presentation on the title, “Local Adaptation plans, processes and outcomes: Discourses and ground realities”. Her talk on that day was basically about the analysis on water related projects with the lens of Contextual Interaction theory and inclusive development in Western region of Nepal. She emphasized the adaptation plans and programme across the LDCs like Nepal along with the LAPA implementation practiced. She further highlighted LAPAs contribution on climate change adaptation. Lastly she ended her talk with the suggestion that the Programs should focused solely to minorities and should be designed and formulated in order to uplift them from where they are with strong monitoring and Evaluation.
The program ended with closing remarks from Dr Ramji Bogati, General Member of Resources Himalaya Foundation who also handed a token of appreciation to our guest speaker.
