On 5 July 2017, RHF organized an orientation to the field researchers for the project, ‘Performing genetic analyses of wild yaks in Nepal, investigating their hybridization with domestic yaks and producing additional conservation materials’. Mr Prajwol Manandhar, Research Associate at Centre for Molecular Dynamics Nepal (CMDN) and Ms Jyoti Joshi, Wildlife program manager at CMDN instructed on ‘Non-invasive genetic sampling’. Dr Kamal Adhikari (Director, RHF) briefed on investigating highland flora, Ms Sabita Gurung, Research Officer, Small Mammals Conservation and Research Foundation (SMCRF), gave an overview on small mammals data recording and Mr Naresh Kusi shed light on the overall project execution. We wish all the field expedition teams a very successful and rewarding research!!
