For the 60th series of PYCF, we had invited Mr Pashupati Nath Koirala, Project Coordinator of Adaptations for Smallholders in Hilly Areas (ASHA). The program started with the welcome note and brief introduction of speaker by Ms Binita Pandey, EGH coordinator. Mr Koirala had his presentation on title “Adaptations for Smallholders in Hilly Areas projects and activities in the field of Mid-Western Region in Nepal”. He started his presentation with the brief explanation of the activities conducted by ASHA to reduce rural poverty and to support the high vulnerable community in the hilly regions facing consequences of climate change. He further described about the National Adaptation Program of Action (NAPA) and Local Adaptation Plan of Action (LAPA) to improve climate resilience of vulnerable smallholder farmers and implement climate resilient agricultural, forestry practices and technologies in national and local level respectively. He concluded his presentation explaining the requirement of enhancing and disseminating climate adaptation knowledge in rural communities. The program ended with closing remarks by Dr Dinesh Raj Bhuju, General Secretary of Resources Himalaya Foundation along with appreciation of guest speaker with a token of love by Prof Dr Tej Bdr Thapa, board member of Resources Himalaya Foundation
