SHARING EXPERIENCES – MARCH

For the month of March, in our monthly programme ‘Sharing Experiences’, we had Mr Bishnu Maharjan, GIS Specialists, Eptisa Engineering Pvt. Ltd. With the introduction of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS), Mr Maharjan started sharing his works displaying various samples along. He explained GIS as a tool that allow users to create interactive queries, analyze spatial information, edit data in maps, and present the results of all these operations. Furthermore, he added it’s application in digital demarcation and forest mapping, change detection and species distribution modelling. Lastly, he notified the issues and challenges regarding the application of GIS technology in context of Nepal.
